BANK Clothing is a student-run clothing line founded in Boston, MA by Nani Stoick and Sophia Sunwoo.
The idea of BANK Clothing sprung from Nani’s boredom in science class on a cold day in February. She doodled cute catch phrases in her notebook such as “Make BANK!” for the clothing line — and she knew that her and BANK were meant to be. Nani pitched the idea of starting a clothing line to her roomate, Sophia, and BANK Clothing was born.
The concept behind BANK Clothing’s products is to deliver high quality clothing (everything is printed on American Apparel) that offers a unique twist to indie-rock inspired clothing. A huge influence on their designs is hip-hop fashion. Experimenting with colors, trends, and styles from the indie-rock scene and the hip-hop scene has allowed BANK clothing to fuse all these different components into a trendy line.
Nani and Sophia knew how difficult it was for people to differentiate themselves in a music scene where band tees were all the rage. So, they wanted to offer people an alternative to the accepted styles by making clothing that is unique, and fresh, but will still gain you some street cred. |
